Physiotherapy and Chiropractic

Without physiotherapy orthopaedic treatment will be incomplete! These therapeutic measures were a focus of my interest during my studies at Universitätsklinik Frankfurt am Main (university clinic), at which time I gained the recognition to practice in this additional field.

Treatment of most orthopedic ailments cannot exclude the use of physical therapy. As a result of my involvement in caring for sports clubs (soccer, ice hockey) for many years, I became increasingly aware of the significant need for massage to relax muscles and physiotherapy to prevent functional shortening of muscles. After an injury or operation, the main objective must be a fast and full recovery.

To achieve this we take advantage of medical training therapy. This role is partly covered by physiotherapists and sports trainers. An equally great need for treatment is caused by placing too much stress on or incorrectly burdening the back during predominantly seated activities. In such cases preventive training methods can be employed, as can various types of physical therapy, including massage, electrotherapy, fango mud packs and magnetic therapy.

Solving and treating blockages of vertebrae is a domain of manual medicine, of chiropractic. They develop during night in deep relaxation or by uncontrolled and sudden movements and shortenened and weak muscles. Either the blocking can be dissolved by manipulation or by mobilization and muscle relaxing techniques of the therapist.
